This is one of those posts I know I’m going to be updating regularly. Still, it pays to get started so here we go:

1. Starcount widget

A glitzy style from Starcount

Starcount’s widget does a good job of showing the ranking numbers in a big bold, and interesting font.

2. Propeller’s Tech Influence 25

[columns]
PR agency, Propeller, did a great job of making a leaderboard look like an infographic as they did with the UK’s tech influence 25 recently.

3. Dollywagon’s Market Researcher Leaderboard

[columns]

4. Leaderboarded Definitive Theme

5. CityAM’s map leaderboard

[columns]
I liked the way CityAM combined geolocation, in this case cities on a map with leaderboard rankings.

If you’re a designer reading this then let me set you a challenge – my Leaderboarded tool allows 100% customisation – yes, 100%, that means you can leave the engineering side of running, calculating and displaying a leaderboard to us – you then get to focus on how it looks. Pop me an email and I’ll send you details of how to create your own leaderboarded theme. Or if that sounds too much work send me a Zip file with your fully marked up Leaderboard in HTML (please include any CSS, Images and JS files and we’ll make our Leaderboard tool work for you.) We reserve the right to charge for this service if it’s for a commercial project.
